The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) was appointed by the Lubbock City Council to study the need for capital
improvements for the City of Lubbock. The CAC will report its recommendations on projects and financing to
the City Council no later than June 30, 2009. The charge to the CAC from the City Council is to:
- Study the need for capital improvements in the operational areas of streets, municipal facilities,
and parks, as well as other areas the CAC may deem relevant.
- Propose projects that will not exceed $65,000,000. This would represent about a 5 cent tax increase.
