Classes and Workshops
The Garden and Arts Center offers classes and workshops throughout the year for both children and adults. Classes can be found in the City of Lubbock's Recreation and Leisure Services Activity Guide, which is released three times per year in the Winter/Spring, Summer and Fall.
Registration and pre-payment of fees are required for enrollment in classes and workshops, and some of our classes require extra supplies. Be sure to ask staff if there is a supply list that goes along with your class. Many of our classes fill-up quickly, so we encourage our patrons to register early and at least one week in advance for all classes - youth or adults! Register onsite at the Garden and Arts Center during regular hours or call 806-767-3724.
The GAC is proud to have a small group of knowledgeable and immensely talented instructors! Click below to learn a little bit more about our instructors, learn about their upcoming classes and download their supply lists!
PORCELAIN BEAD MAKING: HOLLOW BEADS
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13
The GAC is happy to introduce Cecily Smith-Maples as a new instructor this year! Cecily has thirty years of experience working with clay and loves sharing her knowledge with new students! The series of classes Cecily will be teaching during the month of February will be focused on clay bead making, which would be a wonderful opportunity for both beginning and advanced jewelry artists.
Be sure to also check out Cecily's instructor page for upcoming classes!
