Is the Municipal Court closed during lunch?
No. During normal business hours, there are always cashiers on duty to assist you.
Normal Business Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Excluding Holidays)
How do I tell if my ticket is under the jurisdiction of Municipal Court?
On your ticket, it will say "MUNICIPAL COURT CITATION" on the front, top center.
How can I check to see if I have citations at Municipal Court?
You may check for tickets online, however, if there is any doubt whether or not you have a ticket, please call the Court at (806) 775-2473.
How do I get a marriage license?
The Municipal Court does NOT handle marriage licenses or related records. You will need to contact the Lubbock County Courthouse for more info.
How do I file a suit in small claims court?
The Municipal Court does NOT handle small claims litigation. You will need to contact the Lubbock County Courthouse for more info.
