Senior Lunch and Transportation Programs

Senior Meal ProgramParks and Recreation receives two annual grants from the South Plains Association of Governments for senior lunch and transportation programs that are offered Monday through Friday throughout the year. Participants in these programs must be ages 60 years of age or older. Theses programs provide seniors the opportunity to come to our centers, make new friends, socialize, play games, take classes, and enjoy a nutritious lunch.

Program Registration

Participants age 60 and over may register for both programs on one registration form at the center of their choice! 

Senior Lunch Program

Hot nutritious lunches are served weekdays at Noon at all five senior sites. Monthly lunch menus are available at each site and in each monthly edition of the Golden Gazette.

Ages 60+ - Suggested donation rate is $3.
Guests under age 60 - Mandatory charge of $5 per person.

Senior Transportation

Participants are picked up about mid-morning from their homes and taken to one of our five senior program sites where they can participate in activities and enjoy lunch with their friends.  Participants are taken back to their homes after lunch about mid-afternoon.

Age 60+ Only - Suggested donation rate is $1 for each one-way trip.Call Lubbock Senior Center at (806) 767-2710 for information and to be placed on a route!
