Waste Chart

The following chart will help you determine the most effective means of disposing of typical hazardous wastes used around your home or garden.

Blue (●) dots indicate products that can be poured down the drain (sanitary sewer) with plenty of water.

Orange (●) dots indicate materials which cannot be poured down the drain, but can be safely disposed of in a sanitary landfill.

Red (●) dots indicate hazardous wastes that should be taken to a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center (WCC).

Green (●) dots in the fourth column indicate recyclable material. These are items you may place in the recycling bin.
