Standing water or flooding may occur after periods of heavy rain. Generally, the water should dissipate within 30 to 40 minutes after the rain ceases. Standing water can become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other pests. If the water remains pooled in the street, there may be an issue that needs to be addressed in order to allow the stormwater system to function properly. The Stormwater Management Department will investigate the issue for possible solutions.
