Airport Police

Lubbock's Airport Police is comprised of full time, sworn, state certified Police Officers. The Airport Police Department is a 24 hours, 7 days per week operation. Airport Police Officers provide normal police services, perform foot & vehicular patrols and have full arrest powers. They also provide a variety of other services including law enforcement support to the screening station, and lost and found services. Airport Police Officers are dedicated to providing professional and courteous service to the citizens of Lubbock and all passengers of the airport, while maintaining a high level of security.

In an effort to maintain a high level of security, we ask that you please do not leave your vehicle unattended in front of the terminal and keep your items, including suitcases and bags, in your possession at all times.

As a law enforcement support to the screening station, Airport Police Officers are called upon to take reports on prohibited items that enter the screening area. To decrease your chances of being delayed during screening, please remember to check your property, (pockets, bags, purses, briefcases, backpacks, etc.), for prohibited items before you reach the screening station.
