Water Sample Submission Information

(Vouchers May Be Purchased at the Water Treatment Plant Lab)
IMPORTANT: Samples MUST be tested within 30 hours of the time of collection. Samples not transported to the laboratory within this 30-hour limit will be rejected. Samples must be transported on wet ice, NOT frozen. Specimens held overnight MUST be refrigerated. TCEQ regulated systems MUST include a chlorine residual on the request form.
Samples are accepted
- Monday thru Thursday, 8 AM to 3 PM only
- Testing takes a minimum of 18 hours
- Samples will be tested on the day of receipt
- Sample results will be available after noon on the day following test initiation
- Please submit samples to the Customer Service Representative
- Samples cannot be accepted on holidays or on the day before the holidays

What is Pro Rata?
Pro rata is a onetime assessment placed against each property in the City to defray the cost of water and sewer infrastructure.
How is Pro Rata figured?
Pro Rata is figured against street abutment (for normal sized lots), for average street abutment (for deep lots), or square footage (for irregularly shaped lots).
